Excuses

A rightly focused life consists of fulfilling the expectations that we have formed ourselves based upon what God has spoken to us. I hear people speak of doing only what they can actually do and not worrying about what others expect them to do. I agree. But what happens once you've already agreed to something? Does character and integrity not demand that you fulfill it? We are not responsible for others expectations that we have never invited, initiated nor agreed to. We are, however, responsible to fulfill an expectation when we initiate or consent to it. For instance, part of getting married is making a covenant to fidelity. What would it be like if your spouse later said, "I didn't meet your expectations in being faithful to you but I can only do what I can do..." Let's say you apply for a job and before accepting the position they say, "this job is 40 hours a week." So you come in the first week and work for 35 hours. The following week you work 15,
For everything there is a season, And a time for every matter under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to seek, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to throw away; A time to tear, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate, A time for war, and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8   I love the changing colors of autumn. It reminds me of the seasons that we go through in life. Each season in nature looks so different, and each season in our life can be as different as another lifetime. We all go through seasons. There are good times and bad time,

10 easy ways to make sure your kids WONT be Christians when they grow up

Want your kid to walk away from God? Here's a sure-fire formula, my friends. Follow this easy-to-use guide to turn them away from God and the church. These are very easy things to do, in fact thousands are doing it with these results and their kids are turning away in droves. It will work for you too!! 1) Be a totally different person at home than you are at church. 2) Switch churches. Don't stay in one place too terribly long. Keep 'em hopping. The more churches you can expose your kids to without putting down roots, the better. The second you're unhappy with something, uproot as soon as possible and head out to church shop again. Tell them this is for their own good. 3) Don't bother with sending them to kids and youth camp. It can get expensive especially if you have several kids. Think practically. You need the money to pay on other things and besides kids aren't going to die if they don't go to camp. Save that camp and youth convention money and put it t
I made this for one of the potlucks sometime ago and several have asked for the recipe so here it is CROCKPOT MACARONI AND CHEESE 8oz of cooked macaroni 1 (12oz) can of evaporated milk 2 eggs 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 4 oz sour cream 1 cup milk 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese Mix all ingredients except for 1/2 cup of cheese poured into a greased crock pot. Put 1/2 cup of cheese on top. Cook on low for 5-6 hours. Now, I doubled this recipe and it feeds a lot of people, and it all fits into a large crock pot. DOUBLE RECIPE: 16 oz of cooked macaroni 2 (12oz) cans of evaporated milk 4 eggs 2 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 8 oz sour cream 2 cups milk 8 cups sharp cheddar cheese You will definitely want to double this if you are taking it for a church event or having a lot of people over. So good and will probably feed about 20! Makes a tadpole slap a whale.
